Title 1 Services

Title I-A is a federally funded program that is locally administered through Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS). It is designed to address learning needs of students who are performing below grade level in one or more subject areas, or are at risk for doing so. When Title I-A seats are limited, service is extended to those students judged to have the greatest academic needs. MPS has contracted with Destiny High School to provide Title I-A services.

While we believe that your child will benefit from this placement, you have a parental right (now, and at any time during the school year) to refuse Title I-A services. If you have questions or concerns related to this placement, please contact Mr. Casey Buettner, the Principal or the Title I-A teacher. Title I-A recognizes the vital role that parents play in promoting school success for children. We encourage you to arrange a visit or make a call to visit with our Title I-A teacher to learn more about how the program may help your child.
