DHS Visits Direct Supply

On January 11 and again on February 1, 2018, Direct Supply, the leading supplier of equipment and solutions to help enhance senior living, reached out to a number of Milwaukee-area schools as part of their recruiting program.  On the 11th, eleven students from Destiny joined 100 students from the Milwaukee area, who all enjoyed a dinner and a keynote on communications followed by seven workshops on security, law, human resources, coding, IT, finance, and product marketing. 

Students were given a chance to learn about Direct Supply's operation and to network with its corporate leaders.  On February 1, fifty Destiny students attended a Junior Achievement, Job Shadow follow-up program where students were again treated to a meal and four workshops on Graphic Design, Marketing, Operations, and Sales, followed by a tour and debriefing on careers and employee skills that companies want.  Students interfaces with Direct Supply employees who gave them their contact information.  Many students have already followed up with their contacts.
